How does travelling with a pet at RentoGo work in practice?
Bringing a pet always needs to be agreed with us in advance. When you make the booking, just remember to mention your furry passenger and we'll add it directly to the official rental agreement. Agreeing things openly makes the trip stress-free for everyone.
You can bring your pet flexibly to suit your needs: our fleet includes dog-friendly passenger cars, spacious minibuses and vans. Dogs are welcome in the car either in their familiar carrier or without one. A larger dog is allowed to enjoy the ride on the seat, as long as the seat is protected with a proper cover that shields it from dirt and moisture. Sturdy dog harnesses clipped into the seatbelt are our strong recommendation for a safe trip!
Mutual understanding and cleanliness save your wallet
At RentoGo the pet fee for the rental car is kept very reasonable: we charge a single 50 euro fee per rental. The low price is based on fair play and trust. As a customer you're responsible for returning the car in normal clean condition.
If the car comes back vacuumed and clean, of course we don't charge anything extra. But if the car is returned unusually dirty — for example seats full of mud, or the car needs costly ozone treatment due to strong pet smells — we charge at least 150 euros for cleaning. By taking care of in-car protection beforehand, you save real money.
Here's how to keep the rental car clean when travelling with a pet:
- Brush your dog thoroughly before the trip to remove the loosest hair.
- Always use a quality, large-enough dog guard or seat cover if your pet travels on the seat.
- In muddy weather, dry your dog's paws and belly with a towel before they jump in.
- Plan enough breaks during the trip so accidents don't have time to happen.
- Vacuum loose hair and sand out before returning the car.
Allergy-friendliness is a matter of honour for us
